The Seahawks will sign veteran Antoine Winfield to help replace Browner and Thurmond. Silver reports that another cornerback is also expected to join the team.

This suspension should end Browner's Seahawks career, according to Silver's sources. His contract expires at the end of the season and the organization is believed to be done with him. Browner's agent declined comment to Silver, citing the confidentiality of the league's program.

If we were to release him (I think we should) would this free up a roster spot? I am not sure if he still claimed a roster spot while hurt. This may open it up for us so we can get things dialed in before post season. Just trying to make lemonade out of lemons...

We counted on him.. and he did this to his brothers, teammates and us. I wonder if he'd still or should get a ring when we win the Superbowl?

If his PED use is this persistent, it makes me wonder how good a player he actually is.

Good lord, now what are we supposed to think? Silver's not likely to get something like this wrong, but BBs denial is pretty non-equivocal. Sigh.

NFL.com is the only one reporting it and BB says it's false. I'd PFT hasn't even reported, it could likely end up false.

Silver reports that the topic has already been brought up in a recent team meeting. Center Max Unger and cornerback Richard Sherman addressed their teammates recently. The message: We're going to the Super Bowl. If any of you want to do this stuff, go ahead. You won't be coming with us.
