I hope to be coming to town.

It's right around my 40th birthday, I moved to LA in 87 and haven't been to a game a clink :0

Airfare round trip is $158
Hotel is $100
Cheapest ticket on stubhub....$579

I don't care where I sit but DAMN!

So I'm looking for 2 tickets. Anybody that knows anything or anyone selling please let me know.

I'm sure they will just go up in price, I guess I could sell a kidney?

I'm planning to fly in too. I am guessing prices will go down a little bit as I think supply is really limited right now as not many season ticket holders are currently thinking about selling their NFC Championship tickets. As we get closer to the game, the market may open up a bit, hopefully driving prices down a little. I don't know much about ticket prices at the Clink, but I wouldn't be surprised if it never drops below $500 for a seat to the NFC Championship, unfortunately.

I've also pre-warned my wife that if/when they make it, I'll fly out from NC. Would also be my first CLink game. Probably going tbe stubhub route. Hoping to convice my brother or dad to trek over from Wenatchee and join.

You can buy tickets right now on Stub Hub.

The tickets will be guaranteed and refunded if the game(s) does not happen.

Currently there are 1460 tickets available for less than $700.

http://www.stubhub.com/seattle-seahawks ... 4-4405147/

If you want to spend just under a grand a ticket, you can get real close to the field, if you buy them now as prices can go up at any time.

If you are really want to go, I would jump all over them as every win is going to drive up prices even more.

Step up and come out, you will never regret it.

GO HAWKS!!!

Hotels are fully refundable. Book it now before the hotels realize what is going on that weekend and the opposing fan bases starts buying in and prices skyrocket. Got mine all locked in for a very reasonable price.

Alright. Gonna book the flight and hotel. Any recommendations on a place to stay. When I took my wife up to show her my hometown we stayed at the edge water. Not really needing a romantic spot this time. Something easily accessible and not too pricey. Just a place to crash Saturday and Sunday night.

Football aint cheap these days. Not really affordable for some mere mortals. It's a shame.

Your logic on the price issue is 100% wrong.

The closer we get and the lower the ticket supply, the higher the prices will go.

Currently there are over 1,400 tickets for sale on Stub Hub alone and there are other 100% safe ticket resellers that have some as well.

Simple.

Was thinking about doing the same thing. What are some good hotel options within a reasonable walking/cab ride from CLink? Possibly bringing my wife, her first time to Seattle, and I want to have a memorable weekend.

I like to stay downtown so I can walk everywhere as Seattle is a great walking city [except walking UP some of the really steep hills]. Downtown hotels for that weekend are running around $120 - $250/night on Expedia. The cheapest downtown hotel I have stayed as is the Hotel Seattle where I have paid $89/night. it's small and no frills but you are right downtown.

I have stayed at the Westin, Red Lion, Mayflower Park, Monaco, W, Hilton and maybe a few others. Any of these are walking distance to the CLink.

The Edgewater is a really cool hotel but it's running $300/night that weekend. The Sorrento is also very nice but a little more out of the way from everything so I would not stay there again.

Here is a hotel suggestion I have made before that a couple have done that worked out well.

Stay at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino just off of Bainbridge Island.

They have free shuttle service to and from the BI ferry terminal and from there the ferry drops you off downtown and then it's an easy walk to the Clink and most anywhere else in the downtown area.

If you want to have a car while in town, they also offer free covered parking.

There are two restaurants in the casino and you can gamble if wanted.

As of the writing of this post, rooms are available from $132-$192 per night for two adults.

Check it out: http://www.clearwatercasino.com/hotel/

Good luck regardless.

GO HAWKS!!!

Although tickets (both game and flying) are getting more expensive, at least the at-home experience is closing the gap on entertainment value.

I do hope to fly into Seattle as well for that game if my budget allows. Would be my first Seahawks game since 1995 when we beat The Broncos 27-10 at the Kingdome.

Just bought my 2 for my wife and I. Uhhhhggggg! That was a tough sale.
here's the details from stubhub
Section: Charter 133
Seats: Row: H | Seats: Your 2 seats will be together
Total order cost: $2,639.00 (includes delivery and service fee)

I have a ? though. Anybody familiar with buying playoff tickets? There is a chance I wont be able to go to this, albeit a small chance. If the game does happen, do they really only ship the tickets out on the Monday following the divisional game? If this is the case, and I cant go, I would get the tickets on Wed or Thur prior to the game and need to figure out how to get rid of them. Is there a way if I had to sell them I could transfer the tickets to will call or something?

First off, AWESOME SEATS!!!

Just behind the Hawks bench, 8 rows from the field, my season tickets are in section 130 right next the Hawks tunnel!

The tickets more than likely will be an electronic version you print yourself.

As far as re-selling them in case you couldn't go, I would pose that question to the seller. (Stub Hub?)

Good luck and see you there.

GO HAWKS!!!

Thanks for all the info - I am looking into making the long trip for one of the playoff games and this is really helpful. I agree on the timing and want to get my tickets now before the price increases even more.

So it looks like the Hawks' Nest or upper level are best bets in my price range (or possibly a lower corner section) - which would you all recommend?

12HawkFan is right - all playoff tickets, even to season ticket holders, are electronic. Sucks because there is no memento from the game
(I still have the ticket 'card' of the 2005 NFC Divisional and Championship game in one whole piece and framed), but the memories will last forever.

12hawkfan, 3 days before the saints game the lowest ticket price (get in price) was $250. The price the day of the game tickets were $185.00. Prices always come down.
Super Bowl in Detroit were going for $3,500.00 2weeks before. Day of the game $1,700.00
I've been to World Series games, nba final games and have seen every rock band in the last 25 yrs.
Prices always go down the day before or the day of.
Brokers love that people have to have tickets in their hands 2 or 3 weeks before.
Will tickets for this game go down, who knows but tickets go down for every game during the season so I expect the playoffs to be the same

I guess if you want to take the chance and end up in standing room only behind a big beam or in the very remotest part of the stadium, I would have to agree with you.

I never go by myself and to most of those that travel from out of town, they rarely are alone.

If you are local and want to stand in front of the Clink box office or near the scalper corners, (be careful here), then go for it, I wouldn't want to take the chance and not see the entire show/game.

Good luck regardless.
