since Browner is now off the active roster but WT3 cant come back yet, does this mean we could get to see CM on gameday?

T Michael Bowie
T Caylin Hauptmann
DE Benson Mayowa
RB Christine Michael

Those players were all healthy inactives last game. Since Sweezy suffered a concussion, i think it's more likely that Bowie or Hauptman are activated. They also added Bryan Walters to the 53 following Browner's suspension, so that's another player in the mix.

sure, it's possible. It's getting late in the season and I'd like to see him get some reps. However, with the word that Sweez apparenty has a cooncussion, it's just as likely we pack an extra o-lineman.

If nothing else, I'd like to see CMike being used on kick returns. He's got to be a better option than Turbin back there. Either he or Jeremy Lane should be the return men.

Christine Michael's odds of being active are worse now that BB is suspended.

Browner has been on the gameday inactive list with Michael for the last several weeks. Now you need to find another player to de-activate to make the numbers work, because at least seven players have to be inactive for gameday. Walters took Browner's spot on the roster, but he is more likely to play than Michael due to WR depth issues. Sweezy's injury has no impact on Michael. Same number of O-linemen will be listed as gameday active. You just swap Bowie in for Sweezy.

Likely inactives for Arizona: (1) Sweezy/Bowie, (2) KJ (injured), (3) Harvin (injured), (4) Mayowa (healthy scratch), (5) Michael (healthy scratch), (6) Hauptmann (healthy scratch); (7) Hill (healthy scratch).

Michael will be on the sidelines until the coaching staff has tried to squeeze every drop of potential out of Robert Turbin and failed.

...or until Michael stops fumbling in practice? (Just a total shot in the dark guess on why he isn't trusted to play yet.)

Kick returns I agree. As a third down back, he has been just fine.

They don't want us to get excited for Michael...and don't wanna make beastmode upset by getting whopped on by a rookie.. (lets hope :))

Has it become a trend now that drafted RBs are put on the shelf for a while?
Kenyon Barner hasn't played much for the Carolina Panthers.
LaMichael hasn't played much for the 49ers the past 2 seasons.
Lattimore was drafted by the 49ers last season and hasn't played much, although he has been cleared. He had a few bad injuries in college.
Christine Michael inactive a lot this season, although high hopes based on pre-season

wrong.

Lattimore was drafted this season. And the plan was to redshirt him this year and have not have him play at all. the 49ers put him on the NFI list and promptly shut him down when his 4 weeks of practices transpired. that was the plan all along.

Could you explain to me how that was different than what he said? He didn't go into the detail you did, but what he said was not incorrect. Every single word he said was correct. He even started his post talking about people who were drafted and then not played which was exactly the plan of the 49ers when they drafted Lattimore.

They like seeing Turbin get ankle tackled too much to get Michael some carries

He didn't "not play much" - he hasn't played. He wasn't cleared ever with the purpose of playing.

I hate the 49ers as much as all of us but some of these posts are just ridiculous.

Exactly. Not (overly) down on the CM pick, but at the same time, I'm thinking if we were going to rest CM this entire (firkin) year, why not draft Lattimore, who most felt would still be available in the 4th, or even 5th? Yes, it was a horrific injury, but with time / rehab, players have come back from such an injury. By all accounts, Lattimore is on schedule and that is not great news for us. Gore will not be a 9er next year, IMO.

James and Hunter and Blixon andDixon...they're like Santa's reindeer...not going to scare anyone. Enter Marcus Lattimore and the Niners have their back of the future and got him for peanuts. I cringed when they made the pick.

Hopefully Michael will get it together (if he hasn't already...who knows?) because starting immediately, the NFCW is going back to smash mouth football (from top to bottom). Someone will need to step up and fill the dreaded void of the departed Lynch. I like Turbin a lot, but he's not the answer at the 1 spot, IMO.

Carroll specifically mentioned pass blocking as the reason when talking about this in a recent press conference - last monday maybe? He said something about how Turbin had the job because they liked his all around capabilities including what he could provide in pass protection.
