Not a bad idea. He likely won't sign a long term deal so this one year deal might make some sense even though it's going to be expensive.

Clayton was talking about him commanding somewhere between 5-6m per year for 3-4 years in FA. I don't see that as a lot. Clemons may have to go to make it happen though.
