Looks like it's no Percy for this game. (Speculation)

This is him regurgitating what he said yesterday with nothing new. Lets wait till the presser. Harvin was also going to IR according to Clayton.

Weird, I did not know that John Clayton was an independent medical professional.

He's not?

Oh, well then....I recommend we leave it to the medical pros. There's certainly a realistic shot he misses the game, and a realistic shot he can go. We'll know saturday probably.

Clayton backs this up with the innacurate presumption that his migraine issues from years ago somehow play a part in this.

We had a entire thread of doctors shoot down this notion yesterday.

Let's wait for today's injury report. We'll know a lot more then.

The protocol controls this. He can't even practice until tomorrow if cleared today. If he works out tomorrow and does OK, he could still be in on Sunday.

I'd be leaning more to the 'not' side if this was a road game and they had to miss a workout due to travel.

Just wait and see if he is a limited participant at least today. If not, yea he's probably out.

Could he practice in a limited capacity today?

Clayton has been saying this, but it's just his speculation. Mentioned quite a bit in other Harvin thread, and is just as much speculation now as it was then. There's a protocol that Percy must go through. He has to get clearance by independent doctors. That could come today, tomorrow or not at all. There is really no way to know until he does the testing today and tomorrow. Concussions aren't like a broken bone. There is no specific time frame for him to heal. When he shows no more signs, he plays it's really as simple as that.

There is not going to be accurate info on this or any other injury till saturday. I wouldn't fret it just yet.

I believe that's up to the doctors. I don't think there's been any information regarding his tests yet. I doubt we'll know much of anything before Pete gives his presser tomorrow or when the game status is listed on the injury report friday, whichever comes first

Nope. If he was cleared by team doctors yesterday he has to be cleared by an independent doc today. Then he could practice tomorrow

I haven't seen any news on him being cleared or not cleared though.

I thought I heard he was seeing the independent specialist today. From what kid said above, maybe not. But if he isn't cleared, he probably can't practice, even in a limited sense.

If he's seeing the specialist today that's great news because that means team doctors cleared him

Which if you want to be an optimist is good news. If the team doctors didn't clear him yesterday, why would he be seeing a doctor?? So many questions, so few answers LOL

Can one of the doctors that post here explain why even non contact practice is against the "protocol"?

Why can't he play catch with Russell if it doesn't involve contact?
