Bowie inactive?

Reporting OL Michael Bowie inactive. He played great at LG last week and I was excited to see him today. I didn't know he was hurt.

Is it due to injury? Either way that sucks.

Oh, that sucks. They must think Carp has the strength to neutralize Justin Smith, which he did on a couple plays in San Fran. That is a huge mistake, IMO. Bowie is better than Carp in every measurable way. Carp blocked Smith a couple times in SF but missed another half dozen blocks and was on his ass half the day even though he was rotating with McQ.

I know we football fans are supposed to be dumber than the coaches but there is no accounting for this decision, apart from an injury that we haven't heard about.

May be more of a match up situation, Carp has played against these guys a lot more.

It is Tom Cables call. Cable does keep the line play interesting.

I'd have to imagine injury, I find it hard to believe he wouldn't at least be active as a backup.

That is weird. Is he hurt? I thought he did great against NO.

This. No way he would be inactive if not injury

I think Carp being the bigger man and the 49er defense being larger is a part of it, Carp can get a better drive with his anchor even if his technique isn't as good.

Clemens has played well against the 49rs. Purely a coaches decision thing, not injury,
