They kept showing the decibel level on Fox and it was only reaching 107 or 108. How can we have measured 137.5 in a regular season game but in the NFCCG be only 108? Maybe it was where the meter was located each game?

There is always a peak during a big play when everyone in the stadium yells from pure emotion. They never showed those readings, but that's what Guiness measured.

Richard Deitsch in his media column for SI said Buck and Aikman reached out to him at halftime saying it was the loudest game they've been apart of.

1a. Reached at halftime on Sunday of the Niners-Seahawks game, Fox Sports broadcasters Joe Buck and Troy Aikman both agreed this year's NFC Championship at CenturyLink Field in Seattle was the loudest crowd they had ever been part of as broadcasters. "I have never seen or heard anything like this place," said Buck.

It definitely appears that their decibel meter wasn't configured the way Guinness' was. No way we were under 110 decibels all the time.

Probably wasn't actually metering anything. It was probably just a random animation.

Zing !

Seriously though, with that graphic, and the fact that the announcers said it looked like SF had figured out the crowd noise and it hadn't affected them at all, I thought maybe the crowd got taken out of it early. Glad to hear we rep'd when we needed to.
