That would be amazing, after our experience at XL.

Bring it, 12's!

Every indicator I've seen in the last week or two has suggested that Bronco's fan support for their team, compared to Seahawk fans for theirs, is strangely lackluster at best. Maybe they just can't get excited about old QBs, one retired, the other nearly so.

By conventional NFL standards Seahawk fans are nuts. The best comparison would be the fans of some college teams. Remember too this isn't the Broncos first rodeo and not their first Lombardi (they have a couple). That isn't to say the Broncos and their fans don't want it...they definately do! However, there isn't the psychic need that exists in Seattle this year.

Thus it's no suprise that when given about equal opportunities and access (Denver and Seattle both being about equally inconvenienced by a NY/NJ superbowl), the Seattle fans will take the edge. It won't be the Clink, but it will be a damn sight better than XL.

Keep in mind a couple of things:

Regardless of some of the dumbassed comments from ignorant Donkey fans, Washington's per capita income is higher than Colorado's. On a smaller scale, Seattle's per capita income is a lot higher than Denver's. Ticket prices are low, but staying in the NYC area is expensive, as will be commuting/travel, food, etc. This was theorized by some as why the ticket sales were slumping badly. People from Seattle can just afford it easier.

We ARE the best fans in the league.

Doesn't cost much to drive to another part of town to see your team off as they head to the airport, though. Perhaps it has no bearing on actual Bronco fan support, but I heard the Denver crowd was a tiny fraction of the one in Seattle that lined the streets for miles to see the Seahawks off. Shoot, folks in the Northwest love their Seahawks and Sounders, and players of said teams love them back. (One reason why Clint Dempsey is now a Sounder.) Mutual player/fan respect/support that goes both ways grows stronger and swells to the beautiful 12th Man thing we're witnessing today.
