Since 2000, NFL MVP is 0-5 when reaching the Super Bowl. Peyton Manning was last to do it, in 2009 with the Colts.

Makes sense. If the QB is that valuable to a team, taking him out (by good D) removes the main weapon. Besides, I don't think a team with an outstanding RB ever has an MVP QB, do they? (Just guessing, no research)
