I just re-watched the play several times in slow motion. It looks like after Maxwell punched out the ball, he proceeded to push Thomas out of the play with his forearm. Presumably, to clear the way for his "cleanup" guys to get an easy recovery. Maybe this kind of stuff happens all the time and I don't pay attention to the details, but it just strikes me as being coached up during that 'Turnover Thursday' thing they do.
