I'd like to learn more about Mr. McCloughan, and what his role is exactly with the Seahawks. He doesn't get mentioned very often, but boy, he has an impressive draft resume. Most of the current talent on the 49ers was drafted when he was GM, including:
Frank Gore, Adam Snyder, Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis, Dashon Goldson, Michael Crabtree, etc.
The Seahawks have been sensational drafters as well, which coincided when the Seahawks hired him too. Much praise has been given to Pete Carroll and John Schneider, but I wonder if there's more. Scot's fingerprints are all over both teams, especially regarding the defense. Does anyone know exactly what his role is in this front office, especially with regards to drafting?
I remember him saying the Seahawks were going to be the hell out of the 49ers last year. I'm sure glad he got a ring with the Seahawks to stick it up their noses.
