Heath Farwell replacement? In 2014, Heath is about to make $1.25 million (+ $250,000 roster bonus).

TE Travis Beckum - Giants' 3rd round pick in 2009 NFL draft.

Another Kellen Davis type signing for competition?

I don't think they're eyed as replacements for any specific player. It's more to flesh out the 90 man roster and create competition at the positions themselves prior to the draft.

Really liked Travis Beckum as a receiving TE coming out of Wisconsin. He blew out his knee in the Giants Super Bowl win, and hasn't played since.

He had great hands and could really move, but just never seemed to get much of a chance in New York before his injury.

If everything broke exactly right for him, he could be an ok 3rd TE.

Both are Wisconsin guys and JS is from Wisconsin so he's familiar with them both.

Taylor is a potential Farwell replacement. Farwell is set to make 1.5m and Taylor would be 460k roughly. Farwell's dead money would only be 167k. 1m in cap space there and for a special teams guy, perhaps that's worth it.

Beckum could be for leverage in the Miller renegotiate/cut. McCoy could be a factor too if they resign him soon. If both of them are healthy, they could work out well fairly inexpensively.

Terrance Parks looks to be a strong safety. Used in a Kam Chancelor type role in this college video.

Yeah, I really liked Beckum coming out of college as well. I'm a Michigan fan, so I saw quite a bit of him....great receiving TE. The question is how much his knee injury has set him back...great tryout/competition.
