How do you get yourself off the Forbes “Most Miserable Sports Cities” list? Well, winning the Super Bowl will do it.

Pete Carroll’s Seattle Seahawks didn’t merely brush aside the annoying dishonor built up through many years of sports misery in the Emerald City. They slammed it away by dominating the Denver Broncos in front of the largest television audience ever, in the nation’s biggest city.

During this week’s celebrations, fans were reportedly taking exception to their city’s spot on the Forbes list, effectively saying “look at us now – take that!” And why not? When you’ve just won your first major sports championship in 35 years, and your second one ever, you’re entitled to blow off some steam.
