I'm just so stoked with the respect and everything that goes with this title. Turn on the sports nets, and despite contrary opinion, most are gushing over us. We are the high watermark and it's to the point where I didn't ever expect it could be this good.

Typically by now, most champions are being subjected to the "look, this is how you beat this team" stuff. Instead I'm hearing "well, yeah...good luck beating this Hawk team".

It's Hawk mania. I recall a time when they actually went to commercials while our draft pick was announced. Seriously. Now? Turn on the tube and within minutes someone is gushing over our Seattle Seahawks. It will never get old.

I had more examples in mind but now I'm drawing a blank and would fail a piss test, too. ; )

Anything in particular jumping out at you guys that is better than you ever hoped? Like the commercial..."hey Seattle fans, your Hawks just won the SB". I can't get enough of that. I may even record it.

It's great. The one thing I always wondered about was how hungry I would be for more after winning a championship. I wondered if the top of the mountain would give me a sense of satisfaction and I wouldn't care as much about what happened next. As it turns out, I'm twice as obsessed as ever now, and want to see us start climbing the ranks of multi-time champs.

There is always the next tallest mountain. We are in this for the long haul. We are the 12s of the Seahawks. Remember that the next tallest mountain is in Alaska...so the South Alaskan team needs to climb that mountain and win it for Alaska. Mt McKinley aka Mt Denali. :p

One of the things I'm enjoying is seeing the increased number of Hawk gear being sported. I have way too many memories of funny looks, and sarcastic comments as I was the only one I ever saw wearing Seahawks gear. After the 2-14 season a guy passed me in a parking garage and said something to the affect of "you must be a real fan". Damn right!

Oh yeah. All of the above. I correctly passed on a 3 month killer trip to stay home for the Hawks...a place I knew I didn't have to deal with chanting monks outside the bar door. I'm that shallow.

I gave us a 50-50 to start the year. Then we lost Harvin, linemen started going down, lost our 1B WR, our 2 CB, RW started getting pummeled, the offense was ordinary...but we kept winning!?! I never did dip below the 50-50 mark I'd set when the world was wonderful. It was all quite surreal. When we won the NFCW...I went to 75% and we are 100% champs today.

My shallowness forbids from using words like magical...but yeah. Like that.

The monkey is off the back of the Seattle sports fan.

Now that we're off the list of most miserable sports cities,
it's time to begin building a football kegacy with this regime.

I'm still on a high from the SB win. The blowout against a legend just made it that much sweeter! :)

The fact we beat the all time #1 offense and Peyton The Great setting several SB records as well, and completely handed them a serious ass whopping, isn't slipping past anyone short of neeners fans.

Simply amazing.

GO HAWKS!!!

It as not as good as I expected, but I think that has something to do with the preseason expectations. Last year nobody thought we'd do anything ans it was an amazing ride, this year we had many media sources on our bandwagon. It was amazing, but just not as magical as I think some other Super Bowl runs were.

I was thinking once we won I might reduce my Seahawks obsession but it hasn't really changed too much. I think a back to back super bowl win will actually feel better than this one because we will cement this team as one of the best ALL TIME right now we are still considered not a whole lot more special than the Tampa Bay Bucs and I don't look at them as a great franchise. We need multiple SB wins to be considered a truly great franchise in other eyes.

I love the media attention and getting to read or watch Seahawks stuff everywhere but I feel less incline to wear my Hawks gear as I use too because now everybody does and it isn't quite the badge of honor it use to be.

Overall I'm soo glad we finally won and it was more of a calming feeling after the game than it was exuberance.

Anything less than 5 super bowl wins is a let down.

A bit of a Freaudian slip here, but I love it!

A football kegacy, basically an ongoing party involving our favorite team and it's continued winning.

We're Super Bowl champs! I can even let 2005 go now, knowing I'd rather have this team, the last two seasons, and that win (easily the best Super Bowl Defensive effort of all-time) than that piece of shit Steeler team they now have. That's what being the best can do for you. Last season was pure magic and I really believed we were going all the way. This year really tested our faith at times. After the Saints game we were over the top but who wants to peak in week 12? Then, we were sputtering into the playoffs against the hottest team in the NFL. Come on! Everyone knew the Niners could beat us.... Troy Aikman was recently talking about how the Niners were coming back to beat us on the strength of Colin kapernic's arm... Next game was against the best QB of all-time and, "The Best Damn Offense In History!" What really happened is the best two Seahawk games of all-time. Those are our last two games! It is the golden age folks! Everything is better!

I do get the wanting to tone it down to not seem like a bandwagon jumper though. That's why I wear my white cap with the paint on it from Holmy's time as much as my XLVIII hat. The paint's from 2009 when we sucked so why not wear my SeaHawk hat to paint the house? you can bet there will be no stains on that XLVIII hat!!!

Three quotes form the game:
"Save your best for last,"-RW "First play wins it!" RS (before the safety) and my favorite,
"Why not Us?" Yes, why the He!! not us!

I felt RW was a bit sloppy with the clichés. He sorta broke his best out all at once, then just ran them into the ground instead of pacing himself.

"Why not us"? "No time for sleep" "Save your best for last" and everyone's favorite..."Stay in the moment", should have been copyrighted and plastered on T-shirts, hats, coolers, coffee mugs, Frisbees and would also have been great names for porn flicks. All opportunities missed.

It's great being the Super Bowl Champions.
But with that said...I'm ready for the draft, and next season.
I just love football!

I have read a few forum predictions (not here) of Seattle falling to 9-7 or 8-8 and getting a wildcard birth or perhaps completely out of the playoffs. I just don't see it, even if they lose a couple good players. Schneider acquires good players too well for them to fall off a cliff.

I want this team to prove them wrong.

I feel really content, like a great weight has been lifted off of me followed by a great weekend of good food and even better company. "Fat, dumb and happy." would be a good description, kind of like my cat. :icon_jig:
