Well, if he were to bet on himself over the last couple years, he'd be quite profitable.

It's very easy to say it could be close. It also could not be close. Golden Tate may or may not sign with Detroit. The 'rumor' that he is not leaving Detroit without a contract is literally just a headline that says 'Tate could sign with Detroit tonight.' It's silly.

He's saying a deal COULD be close and with all we already knew, there is definitely interest between the two sides. Not really anything groundbreaking that he's telling us and he has a cop out if they don't sign by saying COULD.

No, he makes guesses and then hypes himself up when he gets it right and ignores everybody when he gets it wrong.

He was one of the people saying the Bears were close to signing Bennett.
