No surprise and the right thing to do if he wasn't willing to take a significant pay cut.

Might go down as one of the best trades in team history, even if we didn't get anything for the draft pick. Exhanging him for Daryl Tapp was robbery.

I hope to get him back, but suspect he will move on to another team while we try to get better for cheaper.

Take care Clem. Not surprised but thanks for helping the team get that elusive first Lombardi. Happy trails!

The Seahawks have released DE Chris Clemons, per source.

Ah, well. Thanks for the truckload of sacks over three years, Clem. You were a big part of this defense's dignity post-Ruskell, and you'll always be remembered.

Released $7.5M in cap space...this could mean another signing is imminent.

I would guess you are right. There really would be no rush to release him because we have the cap to hold onto him, unless they are bringing in another DE to replace him. I'm thinking they may well be ready to sign Allen to a reasonable deal, although they could have another trick up their sleeve

Wow. Half expected this, but I really hope we get Avril extended now for another couple years tacked on. Would be nice to see Allen signed for a 5-6 mill.

Either way CC was the man and our only pass rush for a couple years. Thanks for your service CC.

Dude balled out and was under the radar. Way underated. Hopefully he ends up in Jacksonville.

Good bet there. Paired up with Bryant once again

Damn. Thank you for your service Clem. You were an outstanding player for us.

And a big F U once again to the Redskins for their shitty field.
