#Seahawks selected Golden Tate 60th overall in 2010. The player they had ranked one slot behind him — Taylor Price — they are signing now

All I've read thus far is that he had the injury bug.

According to everything I can find he hasn't even sniffed a snap in a LONG time. I'm guessing this is more of a "see what he's got" signing than a serious Tate replacement

5 career receptions? I don't think he is being brought in to replace Tate. He's a camp body with a chance to compete for a fringe roster spot.

I read about him last night. Played for Ohio, a shade under 6'1, ran a 4.3 something at the combine.... Not much on Youtube.

Pfffttttttttt............was he even on a team last year??

After doing some quick research the answer is no. He's been injured for the past 2 seasons

This seems to have been the Tate replacement all along.

Don't know why but I can't stop laughing at this post.

I love how Pete and John go about business. Some fans threat and become desperate for a big money impulse signing (ala the rest of the league) whilst they just don't give a duck, wait it out a while, then pick up players at great value.

As for this signing, no stone left unturned etc etc.

The Jacksonville Jaguars claimed Price off waivers on December 5, 2011.[3] The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had also put in a claim for Price, but he went to the Jaguars because they were higher on the waiver order.[4]
Price was waived/injured on August 12, 2012, and subsequently reverted to injured reserve on August 18.
Price was once again waived/injured on August 5, 2013 and placed on injured reserve on August 7.
