Ouch, really sucks for him. Not likely to see that 8 million figure again.

Didn't seem to bother him much last season. I'm guessing they realized that deal was ridiculous.

Giants deal with O'Brien Schofield considered 'dead'

What a crap move by the Giants. I hope Schofield lands somewhere better.

Wonder if the Giants possibly trying to scrape together an offer for Revis? I don't know how Schofield could have failed the physical. He got in a fews plays late in the Super Bowl. What happened since?

Did he really fail it or did NY just sign Jon Beeson and decide they didn't need Schofield anymore?

Ding! Ding! Ding!

We have a winner.

I hope we can bring OBS back on a reasonable deal for depth.

My guess is that Schofield saw the cess pool that is New York, and faked a knee injury.

I hope we can get OBS back but kind of sad they were smart enough to sign him to a good deal then dumb enough to dump him. Was a force in limited snaps with us.

This is truly a strange time of year. :)

Hey, if he comes back, great. He knows the system and the coaches, he has contributed in limited roles and is developing. No hard feelings. :)

Not sure he actually signed. Probably just "agreed in principle" pending passing of the physical. Even if he signed, there might be a clause in there protecting the team.

It is not unheard of that a player will fail a physical from one team and pass at another. :229031_shrug:
