Source: #Seahawks reach an agreement with coach Pete Carroll on a contract extension. Will be announced at a press conference tomorrow

Seahawks have called a 1:30 ET press conference for Friday. No one saying anything so my guess is contract extension for HC Pete Carroll.

They should've just signed him to a one-year 'prove it' deal.

In all seriousness, great news but I was hoping the presser was for Earl :(

This is more significant than any single player signing, IMO.

If we can keep our young core of elite players signed and Pete and John can churn our roleplayers and depth at a high level like they have been, we're going to be good for a long time.

HELL YESSS!!!
Paul Allen has certainly bought in to the Pete Carroll Method of Coaching his Players, Trainers and sub-Coaches up for real success.
Pete Carroll's "Win Forever" philosophy, has been proven to work perfectly, and this extension is a huge conformation for him.

Doubtful. Sean Payton, the highest paid coach, makes 8M a year.. and 5/35 is the same deal Pete got originally

I'm going to bet Pete Carroll will make 9M and become the highest paid coach in football until Harbaugh gets a new deal with SF or elsewhere.

No way is Harbaugh going to make more than Carroll unless he wins a superbowl

This is great news. He definitely earned it.

Pete may very well become the highest paid coach in the NFL. He was already making $7m a year and Sean Payton makes $9m at the top.

If you don't think Jerry Jones would give him 9M+ in the event Harbaugh is available, you're nuts.

Coaches don't have a salary cap either.. so not far fetched in the slightest.
