There could be a story line if Green Bay was the opponent. Green Bay trying to not give up the tie for that impressive statistic.

Dallas would make some sense since they are referred to as "America's Team" and they would be facing the Defending Super Bowl Champs (who started this streak after a 23-10 loss to Dallas, then went on a 5-game win streak in 2011.) So, gives the Champs a chance to keep the streak going against the last team that beat the Hawks by more than 7.

Denver matchup might be too soon after the Super Bowl (and the league may not want to risk seeing a repeat of the Super Bowl in that Opener.) Seems too early for the SF matchup. Not enough time to build the anticipation of the NFC West matchup. So, I'm thinking either Green Bay or Dallas.

As long as Brock Lesnar isn't playing against us opening night I think we take it...

GREAT TOPIC.

Seahawks have not lost by more than a touchdown since November 6, 2011. And that, of course, includes all eight pre-season games. Meaning: the streak is actually at 53-consecutive games (including pre-season).

That's nothing new for Pete Carroll coached teams. Carroll's USC teams did not lose a single game by more than seven points from October 21, 2001 until October 31, 2009. It was a streak of 102 games that lasted over eight years.

That's called competing. WIN FOREVER.

Green Bay sounds good, but if they lose they'll blame us for the rest of the year for ruining their season.

That would be perfect. I hope we thunderstomp their ass and put their season in a downward spiral. I'm tired of their fans whining about Tate's catch and how it supposedly screwed them out of a playoff position, even though it's been proven that it didn't change anything.

I've always liked the Packers, and it's my dream to watch a football game at Lambeau. But I still want us to beat that team so badly that it takes away a little bit of their souls.

That Packers streak ended when they were crushed at home in the playoffs after their 15-1 season. Crazy.

I think this is the most impressive football related stats I have ever seen. Truly remarkable.

Funny how your dream is to watch a game at Lambo Field. After seeing the Seahawks win the superbowl the ole "dream" doesnt sound all that cool.

Wilson's personal streak is even longer than that:

Last 8 games in 2010 at NC State
14 games in 2011 at Wisconsin
18 games in 2012
19 games in 2013

So that's 59 games for Wilson, or 67 if you count preseason.
