You've all probably seen this:
The Broncos are using "35" as off-season "motivation". Apparently, they don't have enough motivation otherwise to work at their game b/c the report says that when the players are slacking... someone yells, "35" and suddenly they're motivated. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap200000 ... motivation
Good to hear the Seahawks are having such a positive impact on player's careers. I say they continue that kindness and give the rest of the NFL another point and let some team use "34" next year. (Seriously, good for the Broncos to face up to how the Hawks were simply the better team and be humble enough to use it as a reminder that the Seahawks outwork everyone.)

The Seahawks are in everyone's heads. From Jim Harbaugh's antics on the sideline like he has a a swarm of bees all around him, to the Saints painting the Hawks logo on their practice field, to this "35" thing... great stuff that makes being a Seahawks fan all the more enjoyable. Wouldn't Patrice O'Neal be a Seahawks fan now if he was still alive? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B25ywedwU04 Teams they face will be saying, "Ahhh - those are Broncos socks tied around their helmets."

And to think it could have just as easily been "43" or "51" or if they wanted to win.....;)

funny. 35 would only get them a tie anyway, should be 36. guess they realize that hoping for a win would be unrealistic.

35?, It could very well have been more like 45 or 50 had the Seahawks not rolled back the carnage just a little.
Now that they've got Ware, their Defense will just roll over everybody. :34853_doh:

I agree. The league sees how we're doing things personnel and philosophically and they're jealous. People are looking for big corners and I think the dominance of the Niners and Hawks the past few years have put people on notice that a stout defense, run game and efficient passing game still works in the NFL. The prolific passing era is upon us, but there will always be a place for defensive dominance and minimizing mistakes.

We are completely in other people's heads. The Super Bowl just solidified that. The best passing offense ever was demolished and demoralized. They were shook all game long. People want nothing to do with that.

The fact that we play so simply, such base defenses and simple run first zone read offense is a testament to just how well these guys are coached up and how talented they are which comes back to JS/PC. These guys are leading the paradigm shift in the NFL. The days of disciplinarians and suck it up are over, you have to take a whole person approach to coaching and overall mentorship to be successful. Today's generations sees these things differently and you have to adapt.

The whole "35" thing is counterproductive IMO.

Would Pete do this? Hell no. It's negative reinforcement, not positive.........which is not conducive to the mindset you want your team in all season.

The Saints went to the extreme of painting our logo on their practice field, how did that work out for them?

How about "38?" As in " Damn. Payton Manning is 38, we sure are gonna suck when Brock Osweiler takes over."

It's funny, but I don't see it as being all that much different from our guys' "finish" mantra all last season in response to their inability to finish in the Atlanta game.

This team has been in everybody's heads for awhile. It was comical how St. Louis and New Orleans (playoff version) tried to match our guys' toughness but couldn't handle it and just ended up playing sloppy, out-of-control football. Then there's Welker showing the Broncos a video to get them ready to play tough. San Francisco's obsession with our team speaks for itself.
