Trouble finding good paying odds for the hawks in Vegas

Most places I've been to have are 4/1 or 7/2.

Where is the 6/1 I've been hearing about?

Anyone been down here recently and gotten 6/1 or close to it and where?

I just checked all the sportsbooks websites I could find in Vegas. They all have the Seahawks currently at 5-1. The only place I see the Seahawks with longer odds are not betting sites, but publication sites giving "their" odds. Even they have the Seahawks at 11-2. They have the Broncos at 6-1. I guess they think Denver has the easier road back.

11-2 is the same as 5 1/2 to 1, which is lesser odds than 6 to 1... so they think that Seattle has the easier road back.

Do they list which ones? The best I've seen is 4/1.

How much money are you talking? If it's significant, I can get you 6-1.

Not my favorite spot in Vegas, but have you checked the sports book at the Imperial Palace? The hotel is a dump but I've always had an easy time negotiating with their book.

I don't understand gambling in America, why don't you just have to online betting sites? How comes all it's only in Vegas.

I thought as much, but don't really understand the system. Is it simply that all bets must be placed in Vegas? Or go through Vegas anyway

The state of Nevada, is where sports bets are legal to place, and gambling is everywhere, as you see slot machines in grocery stores. With Vegas being the biggest city in Nevada, that why people refer to Vegas. There is internet sites you can go and gamble, not legally though, or if you know a bookie, not legal.

Prostitution is legal in certain counties in Nevada as well, through Brothels which are regulated by the state, though it's illegal in Vegas. .......but if you go to any sizeable casino in Vegas you can find hookers hanging out at the bars at night, but they are unregulated and you still run the risk of catching things you don't want, very potentially deadly.

Most of Nevada is desert wasteland, outside of a few major cities/towns.
Nevada is basically the modern Wild West when it comes to things.

Another reason... this is a country founded by puritanical pilgrims seeking religious freedom... and as a nation, we still have puritanical morals (gambling is considered a vice)... yet there are pockets where the locals have adopted more liberal standards... Las Vegas,Nevada and Atlantic City, New Jersey being a couple of them.

Outside of those two, gambling is limited to Indian casinos in states having tribes on reservations... and state lottery systems, which took a while to be accepted/tolerated.

Online gambling has been considered but deemed illegal in the U.S.

If they could figure out a way to tax the hell out of winners, online gambling would be legalized in a hurry. They couldn't find a way so they just shut online gambling down.
