Words cannot express how excited I am to see Marsh and Bennett tear apart opposing teams.

Gotta go with the OP, except I swap Auguste and Shead.

OFF: 25 Players
_QB: 3
_RB: 4
_WR:6
_TE: 3
_OL: 9

D/ST: 25 Players (+3)
_DE: 5
_DT: 5
_LB: 6
_DB: 9
_ST: 3

QB: Wilson, Jackson, Pryor
RB: Lynch, Turbin, Michael, Coleman
WR: Harvin, Baldwin, Kearse, Lockette, Richardson, Norwood
TE: Miller, Willson, McCoy
OL1: Okung, Carpenter, Unger, Sweezy, Britt
OL2: Bailey, Bowie, Jeanpierre, Hauptmann

Notes:
- Pryor's elite athleticism has Scout team benefits in a season we have to face Kaep x2, Newton, and RG3.
- 4 RBs are kind of lite but Willson as well as Turbin (with some work) can backup FB. Not to mention Harvin will have a significant role in the Running Game. As much as I like Small, I can see Coleman stepping up big time in the competition to keep his job. Small is a player that can rotate in and out of the practice squad and try again next season but again I don't think because he didn't make the team makes him a wasted draft pick. If Small's presence makes Coleman a better FB in the long-run then that's value.
-Which is why I kept 6 WRs (for Harvin insurance), when I was looking at 5 at first. Lockette doesn't seemingly offer any value at WR (according to most people here) but he possibly might be the best gunner in the NFL. And with a QB like Wilson, Lockette can certainly average out at WR in which he was showing promise late in the season last year..
-Although I see the Seahawks sticking to their strengths and utilizing 2 TE sets. All of our TEs are well-rounded, and with McCoy back in the picture, I can see Luke Willson "joking" it up more at Slot WR and FB especially in RZ packages.
-Traditionally, the Seahawks have kept at least10 OL under Cable. And hopefully the starters especially on the left side can come in strong, stay healthy, and allow that to happen because the 4 backups I listed are all extremely versatile. Hauptmann can play all 5, he played OT and OC last year and looks to be OG this year. Bowie and Bailey can play all positions but OC. And Jean-Pierre can play the interior line.

DE: Bennett, Avril, Mayowa, Marsh, Jeffcoat
DT: Mebane, K.Williams, McDaniel, Scruggs, Hill
LB: Wagner, Wright, Smith, Irvin, Toomer, Pierre-Louis
CB: Sherman, Maxwell, Lane, Auguste, Simon
_S: Thomas, Chanchellor, Johnson, Shead

ST: Ryan, Hauschka, Gresham

Notes:
-I don't think the team will keep Schofield, because that would mean along with Avril both would hit free agency in '15. Seahawks can drop down Irvin at LEO if need be (and as they've suggested) but it would be better to get the younger guys reps and don't see that possible with OBS on the roster. Besides I feel like Mayowa will out compete OBS and both Marsh and Jeffcoat will show enough as pure pass-rushers to make it hard to be cut.
-Bennett and Marsh will also provide depth at DT.
- I also think the Seahawks will give Toomer every opportunity to supplant Farwell (bc of age, cost, and future value), and Ill be bold and predict that happens, while Pierre-Louis overcomes Mike Morgan plus others.
- Seahawks will likely have to carry 2 CBs that can defend the slot. Lane is already one of them, so don't be too surprised if Auguste, Adams, or Jefferson make the team as the 5th CB. Also, with Lane moving up in responsibilities is another reason Lockette's value as a gunner increases.
- Shead can back up both Safety spots and play CB. So he has great value to the team.

Practice Squad (Seahawks will rotate out many players but I guess you have to start somewhere):
RB Spencer Ware
WR Chris Matthews
OL Garry Gilliam
OL Justin Smith
DL Jesse Williams
DL Michael Brooks
LB Mike Taylor
FS Dion Bailey

I wish NFL would change their practice squads rules from 8 to 12 players, and give each team four "untouchable" designations that can't be poached. Injuries are big part of the game, yet more often than not the weight of multiple injuries can collapse an entire season. I get the whole parity thing but when fans have to shell out hundreds of dollars for tickets/merchandise, teams should allowed to remain as competitive as possible and that means all teams should be allowed to suit up all 53 players for game day if healthy. And teams definitely should be allowed to return any severely injured player from I.R. without a fixed time table of missed games if that injury occurred during the season and in a game. NFL is an amazing sport but it has some of the most stupidest rules in terms roster and injury.

Its a difficult task and one that is very perplexing...roster building is always bittersweet although really this year seemed easier than most, the only players I "parted" with any true sentiment is Farwell and arguably OBS. Rice kind of helped alleviate the stress factor at WR.

I wish that the K, P, and LS were exempt. Especially with the way kickoffs are now and a growing sentiment against the extra point.

I really don't see why we would keep 3 QB's. Especially given the WR battle, OL depth needed and trying to carry 5 backfield members. Personally, I don't feel like we gain much by choosing Jackson over Pryor, or vice versa and the difference in salary leans towards Tjack ($0 cap savings by cutting Jackson, $700k for Pryor) so I would dump Pryor.

It's a combination of things. Mostly the fact that they resigned Jackson to a 1 year deal and traded a draft pick for Pryor when he has one year left and no guarantees for a re-signing. All signs point to Pryor being a QB rather than some sort of conversion project.

So you can come up with reasons to keep re-sgn Jackson or trade for Pryor, but it's hard to see why you would do both if you're only going to keep one. As a result, many assume they keep both.

I like this prediction, except I don't think they can afford to risk losing DeShawn Shead or Korey Toomer. Shead is the only player on the team who is capable of replicating Earl Thomas. If Thomas got hurt, they would need Shead, whose athleticism will make him an appealing pickup to many different teams. Also, Carroll raved about Toomer's development during OTAs. With both Wright and Smith becoming free agents after this season, they need to keep Toomer on the roster.

To add: Seahawks has had 2 just in case emergency QBs that kind of more or less made keeping 2 QBs possible.

Michael Robinson isn't on the team anymore

And right now,

Kam Chanchellor is rehabbing from hip surgery, and doubtful resume those duties as he recovers.

Russell Wilson is also coming off 37 games, another shortened off-season, he's almost had 200 touches in rushing the ball, while getting sacked 77 times in the last 2 years. Seahawks also have a unfavorable schedule with an early bye week... carrying only 2 QBs is asking Wilson to shoulder another considerable load especially in practice.

You can try to put Daniels on the PS but there is no guarantee he'll survive waivers or last a full-season, he's a Wilson clone, and he has scouting value to many teams especially if he plays well again in the Pre-Season.

Also, like I said in my post Pryor has scouting value to a defense that has to go against Kaepernick x2, plus RG3 and Newton while it being not unrealistic to face off against all 3 in the Play-Offs. Not to mention Logan Thomas if Carson Palmer goes down.

They're plenty of reason to keep 3 QBs this season.

Mike Morgan is expendable and would probably make it through waivers, unlike Toomer.

Been saying this for years. Sure the specialists play an important role, but teams could sure use the extra slots.

Added Winston to the starting lineup

Swapped Mccoy with Presley for TE3

Assuming Tarvaris Jackson will be traded for a conditional 6th round pick after lighting up in preseason.

Mike Mo unfortuantly doesnt make it.
