So nfl network has a training camp ad running with players from different teams saying why not us. It ends with Russ saying it at the Super Bowl. They had to steal Russell's statement? Is this now going to get lip service from everyone. There is only one original and it is obviously Russell Wilson.

Not as egregious as the Bengals using "Who Dat" on Hard Knocks.

The phrase has been around a long time before DangeRuss but I find it intriguing that the NFL Network decided to go w/ that saying for their Inside Training Camp show theme after it was well noted that Russ used that saying from his dad last year. I take it as was noted above, the most sincere form of flattery. It even has Russ saying "why not us again".

Bengals use "Who Dey" which is comes from a similar but different origins than the "Who Dat" that the Saints use, just FYI.
And said it BEFORE the Saints.

It's not about who originated a phrase. That's darn near impossible to do these days. RW clearly popularized it last year and made it a personal and team rallying cry. That's just fact.

Media and other players picked up on it because it's simple, catchy, and aspirational. Cool stuff.

We had success with it, people adopt things that are successful, just like Refuse to Lose was at one time.
