Add the superbowl mvp to the list. We had them backed WAY up on a 3rd and long, Smith HOLDS, first down, they drive down the field and score a TD.

Agree this was a big WTF Irvin shout out. There were a lot of WTF moments in this game especially in the first half. The good thing is that this team is better then what we saw yesterday. You could just see yesterday that this is not Seahawks football; I expect them to respond accordingly next week against a good Denver team.

It was a bone-headed play by Irvin. I agree...but Bobby Wagner did pretty much the same thing earlier in the game and it wasn't called. No one is singling out Wagner for that. Irvin is not the only idiot. There are plenty to go around from yesterday's game.

80% of us, being raised in the same environment as Bruce would have turned out dead, in jail, or heading in that direction. The statistics in that neighbourhood are about 80%. Bruce isn't the smartest guy, but he also doesn't have the education that most of us are privileged to know.

Dehydration absolutely can alter decision making skills. Bruce hasn't had a history of dumb penalties- maybe one other one in his whole career. Let's move on- I can promise you he will learn from the mistake.

He had one bone-headed play. Zach Miller and others had some too. They were not sharp but that can easily be fixable.

I'm more worried about our interior pass rush against a back up Center and Oline right now.

Bruce Irvin is not what you would call a smart man.

two of my teammates tested positive (and one got suspended) for PEDs in the end of 2012. Chances are the NFL may be giving our team even more "random" drug tests in the near future. The next course of action is take PEDs in the preseason for 2013....

That was not much of a hold though. That was a ticky tack call, even the TV announcers said so. Chalk it up to the "new rules emphasis", but that was not something that would normally be called.

THat was actually smart. He gained 20 lbs of muscle in one offseason, something that's taken Sweezy 2 years to do with a larger frame. So, take the short cut and take the 4 game ding for it. If you're going to cheat, that's the way to do it.

As for the OP, yea it was dumb. I'd like to see a little more contrition from Irvin about it as well.
