This post was requested by NJSeahawks.

I, as many if you I am sure have, been extremely frustrated with Nike's inability to listen to us Seahawks fans and re-release the SB media day jackets to many of us 12's who would gladly line the pockets of Phil Knight in order to have a piece of history.

I know that they release a similar jacket recently, but it doesnt quite have the same gusto that the original one had.

In response to this I thought I would share with you my experience trying to recreate this jacket (and as ot is stated above, as requested ny NJSeahawk.

I started out by purchasing this jacket from Nike:

Sweatless Hooded Mens Training Jacket 588702 010 A

Then I obtained these two jackets to complete the necessary patches:

 57

 57

After careful removal of the patches from their respective jackets, I was able to attach them to the sweat less jacket.

Here is the final product:

It turned out pretty well I think, the only thing I may have messed up on are the patches on the should aren't quite over enough. Oh well! Just wanted to share this with the fellow 12's!

Go Hawks!

Looks pretty good for a home grown made coat, I'm sure you will get plenty of inquiries about where you got it.

I hope that works, just edited it.
Thanks. That looks really good actually. Can't imagine how much it all cost you

You didn't add a #?
Seattle Tackle Twill can add a # for under $25 I'm sure.

I might just have to do that. Thanks for the tip!

No problem.
They converted my new old stock 1990's Rick Mirer jersey to a WILSON jersey for $30.

Nice work, but for $300, I think I'd rather have a custom elite jersey. But that's just my opinion.

looks cool but if you're frustrated with nike for not meeting the needs of it's customers, I'm not sure turning around and buying shirts and jackets from them just to rip the patches off is the best way to show your dissatisfaction with them...just sayin!

I was not so much angry at Nike for the policy, frustrated is more the word.

Yeah I would agree that its not the best way to show them my dissatisfaction, but it was the only way to get that jacket at this point.

As a side note, I didn't buy the other two jackets from Nike, I got them on Ebay, so Nike already won out on that transaction.

What was your technique for removing the patches?

Pull and pray. Like having sex without a condom.

FTW.

But in reality I just cut around the garment. The jackets weren't expensive so I could just cut around the patches.
