Simon may be one of those players who just never gets right, health-wise.

He was supposed to be back after the bye, and now he's still a few weeks away. Combined with last year's health issues, this does not bode well for his career. He seems to be an oft-injured, slow healer. That's a bad combination.

No games played does not a career make. Remember Red Bryant?

Better that he is going through this right now rather than later in the season. We have 13 games to play and we could use him.

I thought this guy was going to have a nice season. He might have a strong second half of the season, but leading the team in picks this year is completely out of play. Hopefully he holds up when he comes back.

Two weeks would mean he would be back by the first divisional game at St. Louis. That is when Miller is supposed to return as well.

As long as Sherman, Maxwell, and Burley stay healthy over the next couple games (knock on wood), we should be OK against the Redskins and Cowboys.

I'd settle for just come back. Dude's more brittle than a frozen marshmallow.

That's probably going too far. He never missed a game in college due to injury. He was dealing with a foot injury last year, and then elected to have minor surgery to get the cartilage in his knee cleaned up. Once that heals, he should be good to go as our primary backup at both corner spots.

IIRC Baron von Maxwell had some nagging injuries during his first two years here. He just needed to learn how to get in football shape at the NFL level.

That seems to be a recurring theme with some draftees, adjusting to the huge differences in opposing players size and speed, and learning about the myriad of ways available at the next level to condition one's body.
