Waived CB Josh Thomas and Signed Center Patrick Lewis

I missed Pete's presser today, but will check it out when they post it online, but I'm guessing this means they are at least concerned about Unger's availability.

from A&M. He has spent time with Green bay, Cleveland, and Jax but hasn't played for any of them.

Didn't we take a look at him after Jacksonville released him this pre season? I don't think he was here long, but I thought they brought him in for a look then.

This obviously means Unger's foot is not as good as we first thought post game.

Stephen Schilling was a timely addition.

1. Carroll said center Max Unger (strained foot) and tackle Alvin Bailey (oblique) would be "day-to-day" this week. Unger was injured in Monday night's win against the Washington Redskins and Bailey sat out Week 5 after missing two days of practice last week.

2. With Unger's status in question, Carroll said former Bellevue High School standout Stephen Schilling is ready to step up as a potential fill-in at the center position, "We've been really, really excited about his play." The Seahawks also signed center Patrick Lewis to add depth at the spot, waiving cornerback Josh Thomas.

Patrick Lewis competed with Van Roten for a backup center job in Green Bay. It is another Green Bay connection. Lewis was claimed off waivers from Jacksonville by the Seattle Seahawks on August 26, 2014 only to be released shortly there after.
