More props for Dallas, specifically their running game. Said we were lucky to get them now because he expects them to continue to get better and become something really good.
Lots of props for Dez....no surprises here. He always finds positive things to say about the team and players we are about to play.
On all the near misses for takeaways...said he hopes that if we keep playing the same way, that we'll start to get a few of those takeaways and that they come in bunches.
On our run defense....Says the continuity is helping and gave good props to Mebane, McDaniel and Williams and our Linebackers.
Asked why we didn't see more Malcolm Smith. Said they wanted to look at Bruce and he was doing well so they just went with it.
Asked if the quick passing game is why our sacks and INT's are down. Said that's some of it but said we need to keep working at getting that rush to the qb and pressure them more.
Any concern on big plays that we've been seeing this year. Said there's always concern as in they are wary of it, but gave props to the players making plays, then went on to explain the mistakes that were made in how our defenses were called on certain plays.
Asked about Okung and asked if he's better since his offseason surgery. Pete said he's banged up like lots of guys are, so he didn't specifically confirm or deny any injury issue.
Said Simon is close (sounds like still a bit though) and Miller is going well but will be a few weeks.
Said Maxwell played great Monday night.
