It was never going to happen. But Schneider was just trying to see if he could get any value for him before just getting a 6th rounder.

I also read that we tried to get the TE from the Browns for him? Man that says a lot that the Browns didn't want him.

What I don't get is this: I understand why these teams didn't want to trade their Pro Bowl caliber TEs for an expensive and injury-prone Harvin.

But we couldn't find a good, solid 4th-5th round level TE that someone would trade Harvin for? Seems like that would have been just as good of an investment as a 6th round pick next year that doesn't help us this season.

Reportedly the Jets really did have the best offer. Guess no one really valued Harvin that high with the salary and all the baggage.
