Our Friend BESTFIGHTSTORY Stabbed and Recovering

  • WTF. I am fairly new to these forums - been here a couple of months - and have just begun to post regularly. I wasn't very familiar with bestfightstory because I'm so new, but I did enjoy reading his posts. With that said this pisses me off and hits close to home even though I don't know him very well he is a fellow Hawks fan and as such I look at him as family.

I hope you recovery quickly man and I hope they catch the bastards that did this.

God bless and best wishes for a speedy recovery from Lynnwood, WA.

  • BFS get well soon, so we can exchange pleasantries with each other.

You are the best example that no good turn is ever left unpunished.

Hope all is better soon and you have no complications.
Until we develop a pass rush that will cause opposing teams to be forced to scheme to defend it we will never be able to completely take the final step. That was done and the final step was taken.

  • It takes a real man to step in and try to stop two other idiots from fighting. Most, probably myself included, would just sit back and let it go or try to get away from the situation. Good on you for trying to be a good samaritan.

I have to admit though, my first thought was, "damn, he must have thrown some glitter on the wrong dude."

  • Being a Police Officer I have seen my share of stabbings. As unfortunate as this topic is, perhaps we can all learn something from it. I have been to crime scenes where a person has lost their life trying to break up a fight. Granted, we don't know the circumstances surrounding this, and I am in no way suggesting that I do, but in most cases it's just best to call the police.

Hope BFS gets well soon. Stay safe out their folks.

I've got to agree with what prelag states - other then self-protection, it isn't the best move to insert yourself in a fight.
This might have been a different outcome if the police were called imediately upon signs of the problem escalating.

While I agree the smart thing to do is to wait for the police to show up - that isn't always the right thing to do. If there was a knife involoved then who knows maybe BFS saved some other guys life by getting involved. While it sucks for him to be where he is now, who can predict what could/would have happened had he not intervened.

  • Yeah, come on. In that situation your first instinct IS to step in and help, not call the police and wait 15 minutes for them to show up when some serious damage could have already been done. You did the right thing BFS, be proud of what you did! Get well soon man, I'll be prayin' for ya.
