Saints Panthers

Seems like Brees is struggling tonight. Maybe Not elite. Probably too short. Definitely not black enough.

Not sure if anyone else has noticed the obvious non called peenalties the refs are letting the Panthers get away with. Been seeing quite a few blatant late hits out of bounds,chippy shots and even a few "hand in the helmet hole.

Hard to imagine a 'good' 11-2 team struggling on the road in a division game, in a half empty stadium...
Oh, wait.

Horrible, horrible, dumb, goal-line, pick-2 interception by Brees there. Elite QB's don't make dumb mistakes like that.

The rule makes perfect sense. Protect the ball and you won't lose it. :141847_bnono: Fumbling the ball out of the endzone deserves the penalty of losing the ball. It also prevents attempts to fumble your way to a touchdown.

Believe it or not, Carolina is not quite eliminated. They can get in with a three way 8-8 tie with Seattle and Philly.

It's a tough spot on the field to legislate a fumble that isn't recovered. It's feels cheap to give the O a do-over and it might be a bit much to be a turnover. Basketball has the Jump ball/alternate possession rule that takes care of these things, but there's nothing in football to kind of make it "fair".

Is it just me, or has the 4th quarter in a lot of games lately become heavily flagged?

I was thinking the exact same thing but did not say it. It looked as though the rats were trying their hardest to let the suck-ass Panthers win but they were terrible
