Ahh, yes, because women are the ultimate symbols of weakness.

Geez man, nobody said that. It's just a "reference", albeit a crude one. But with Percy it fits, because he is a man.

He's actually good to go now for Sunday.

Percy's allergic to putting in a full week of practice, because you know, he's God's gift to football and he couldn't be bothered with something as silly as a full week of practice.

And yet Lynch gets a pass...interesting.

HAHAHAHA, I was thinking the same thing. Lynch has probably missed 70% of practices the last two years because of lower back soreness/stuff/things/whatnot.

We know he's good to go on game day and that's all that matters.

Lynch gets a pass because he performs. I guarantee you if he wasn't then people would start having a bigger problem with him sitting out practices to heal up.

Big whoop. 4th round is about as good as 6th round anyway given you should have little expectation of success with either and if you do then awesome.

What? A fourth Rounder is significantly better than a 6th Rounder . . . 64 picks better. You can't "expect success," but there is a greater probability of success.

I don't disagree my point is you shouldn't expect a thing out of that level of draft pick. Especially given how we tend to draft a certain type of player that fits our system regardless of if there are other players that seem obviously better (and in some cases actually are). Half the time it's "who's that?" and just figure Pete and John have some type of plan for them especially when talking about 4th and lower round picks. It's a total crapshoot that we seem to be good at regardless of if it were the 4th round or 6th round. Odds are either will work just as well either by draft day flexibility (trade capital) or snagging some player they like that dropped for some reason.

Being able to hit on SOME 5th and 6th round picks doesn't mean the organizations chance of hitting on players in the 4th round wouldn't improve

While we may pick some players at spots others don't in general many of the players on our board are on other teams board. So as other teams pick we cross players out. It isn't like we are sitting with a boar with 10 players that nobody picks period. They may have an Irvin on the 2nd round board and we have him on the first but he is on both boards. So in other words when we pick in the 4th round there is a much higher likelihood that our player is still there / we get someone else that would have been off the board in the 6th round.

Always a crapshoot if they work out but I don't think there is a single GM that would agree that there isn't a big difference between 4th and 6th round

Uhhh, not only that but, it being the Jets, that could be pick the first or second pick of the 4th round. Which, as said above, has a better probability of success and thats all that matters.

Besides the conditional pick, we also have no more salary to pay Percy. Anyone signed with that money could also be considered part of the "trade". Or heck if part of that money helps us keep a few more players, that also could be seen as part of the "trade".

Am I the only one who thinks this way?

No, but the string can chafe the inner thigh if not properly tucked. Chaffing of the skin is definitely one of his "nope, I can't play" list of medical conditions.
