That is a very odd claim considering Seattle is known for being a great teaching staff and developing their guys.

Has anyone ever lived overseas? In many places, they have jerseys and other gear for American sports teams that don't exist... and they're pretty proud to be representing their teams! Perhaps they got the team wrong and the comment about "player development" is more indicative. We'll see. But, Pete was saying that kid has a long ways to go in development to make the switch. Maybe Detroit was thinking he's closer than Pete does - so, therefore that means better chance = they're willing to develop him as a player?
