I think the Cardinals are going to be the Hawks main competition for the next few years. Those guys have the Cards moving in a good direction.

Looks like Arians will be making $6 million per year under the new deal

Wow, that's only one million less than what Pete makes.

EDIT: Pete made $7 million before his extension. I have no idea what he makes now. Still, $6million is a pretty good amount, puts Arians in the Top 10.

If I remember correctly, Pete is in the $8 million range now. I also have heard that Arians is now the 2nd highest paid Coach without a super bowl. Chip Kelly being number 1

I like the changes that have been made by the Cardinal organization.

In Cardinals history, it's the best management-to-coach relationship in decades, perhaps ever. Team President Michael Bidwill recognized it, ripped up the pair's original contracts and signed each to four-year deals, with a team option for a fifth.

On Tuesday, both men thanked Bidwill for rewarding them well before he had to.

"Everybody in the building helped get us a raise," Arians said, "so the first round is on me."
"We stay in our lane," Keim said. "He (Arians) does his job; I do mine. When you don't cross those lines, they don't get blurred. Around the league when you see those lines get blurred, internal dysfunction follows.

"We've always had a philosophy, at least in our building, that you check your ego at the door."

Cardinals General Manger Steve Keim said the new deals he and Arians signed are a clear signal that the Cardinals have the kind of stability of organization needed to win in the NFL.

I like Arians. He did a good job while interim coaching the colts, and he would have made some more noise in the NFC if he had a legit Qb (or at least not the backup to the 3rd stringer). I don't like Palmer much either, but having Palmer would have made a night and day difference.
