That's a lot of cash. Guess the hearsay rumors of a "done deal" with Seattle were just that.

Well at least the odds of Brady getting destroyed during the season just went up a few notches.

Yep. I was just thinking that at least he's out of the NFC now.

Oh what a surprise, he went with the biggest payday. Have fun playing on a bad defense for the rest of your career lol.

Cannot wait to see the actual contract terms given Miami has around 17 M in cap space (once they formally cut Ellerbe and Wheeler)

I would rather spend "elite PLAYER" money on an elite player than to spend "elite QB money on an average QB" Because it kills a franchise.

Detroit just joined this club. Over paying for an average QB like Matthew Stafford has killed this team. This team has now lost DE Cliff Avril (Seattle) and DT Ndamukong Suh (Miami) because too much money is wrapped up on Stafford and the offense. And they might lose DT Nick Fairley too.

Suh to Miami is almost on the same level as Reggie White to Green Bay 20 years ago. Suh is well on his way to becoming a Hall of Famer. Stafford is on his was to becoming a Kerry Collins type career.

So he went for the money instead of a few rings. Not surprised.

$19 million per.

Just imagine what a UFA JJ Watt would have gotten.

That is what I said the other day and was told that isn't elite QB money....when obviously it is. Halfway down the page...viewtopic.php?f=2&t=108505&start=550

I think it is way beyond stupid.

Ill respond the same way. Wait till you see Luck reset the market for elite qb money.

Guys like Cutler, Romo and Ryan got "elite" Qb money before the 2013 season when the salary cap was 123 million. Average per year is in this new Suh range. It's gone up by 20 million since then.

Good to see a player get paid.
Good to see someone who will go after Brady at least twice a year and knock him on his behind a few times.
I'm happy for Suh.
As for those who claim it is a bad contract ... seriously, who cares? There are so many bad contracts out there ...

We don't even know the full details of the contract, so to say its bad is just speculation. Bottom line...if you have the money to spend on Suh, you spend the money on Suh.

Detroit is screwed on D now. He was the lynchpin of that defense. That is what you get when you invest most of your cap on offense. NO rings. Defense wins championships. First Avril left and now Suh. Good luck Detroit. You're gonna need it. lol

Hard to complain about the signing and Tannehill is a passable QB, just not a down field that. Mike Wallace, come to Seattle!
