Sure did.

Considering he made less than $3MM APY with the Ravens and just got cut, he will sign with whomever at a very low price point. He could be worth it, then again, I'm not sure why the Ravens would cut him at such a low figure unless he wasn't very good last year.

Hard to gauge a good lineman in a 3-4 defense. They are pretty much space eaters across the board (unless your name is JJ Watt . . . who I thought would be a bust). Canty hasn't gotten great sack numbers, but 3-4 ends rarely do.

Here he would play mostly DT with some rotation at 5 tech DE . . . it is a better play for him at this point in his career to join a 4-3 defense.

This screams JS bargain bin move. I love it.

I've liked him for some time and was surprised when Dallas let him go to the Giants. Like McGruff mentioned, it's hard to tell by stats how well someone is playing the DT position. But just for kicks here's his profile:

"Canty previously visited the New York Jets and could still return to the Ravens, according to sources. Canty, 32, played for the New York Giants prior to joining the Ravens two years ago. He was entering the final year of a three-year, $8 million contract when he was released this month, a transaction that saved the Ravens $2.66 million against the salary cap."
