Hope the Browns can take a joke. Surely they must realize what a farce that logo "change" was...

Bengals can make fun all they want, but the original Bengal uniform was a DIRECT copy of the Browns uniform.

Err, actually P Brown just to his design with him when he went to coach the Bengals. The only difference? It said "BENGALS" on the helmet.
"The city's world-renowned zoo was also home to a rare white Bengal Tiger. However, possibly as an insult to Art Modell, or possibly as an homage to his own start as a head coach to the Massillon Tigers, Brown chose the exact shade of orange used by his former team. He added black as the secondary color. Brown chose a very simple logo: the word "BENGALS" in black lettering. One of the potential helmet designs Brown rejected was a striped motif that was similar to the helmets adopted by the team in 1981 and which is still in use to this day; however, that design featured yellow stripes on a turquoise helmet which were more uniform in width."

Well at least the Bengals were smart enough to ACTUALLY change theirs and to not name their team after a coach.

It's really short term thinking to name a football team after the owner or a coach, especially when both are likely to change at some point. Paul Brown actually tried to name them the Panthers, but a businessman in Cleveland owned the rights to that name. Some say they named the team after the "Brown Bomber" Joe Lewis, it was still a bit of an awkward name to go with as there was no mascot they could use.

The people of Cleveland voted for their name and they fought like hell to keep it when Modell moved the team, so let them have it. It doesn't mean we can't make fun of them for doing so. They also deserve all sorts of flack for their changing of the orange helmet to an orange helmet. And to think, they paid some firm to come up with that change.

After seeing the new (leaked potentially real) jerseys I don't think they were wholly unwarranted.
