He's preaching the gospel as far as I am concerned. It's not about the outcome of any one game. It's about the integrity of the game and how will future teams or players view the temptation of getting an unfair advantage, however slight?
In the AFC Divisional Playoffs the only thing that saved NE from losing to Baltimore was an ill-advised interception thrown by Flacco. How would that game have turned out with regulation footballs?
The story about that game should have been how close it was, but instead it will now and forever be "Did NE have an unfair advantage with deflated balls?"
And now we have to listen to Tom Brady, Mr "Screw Integrity" (Boob Krap) and all their supporters whine and point to the Indianapolis game as if somehow it accounts for the entire season, trying to justify Tom's cheating. Just shut up and take your lumps. 4 games is a gift.
"Goodell deserves criticism for his inconsistency when it comes to punishment. Hammering him on domestic violence is fair. Using that as leverage to imply he should have taken it easy on Brady is disconnected logic....Where the league should have unquestioned authority to adjudicate is in areas that impact the gameplay on the field. They are the judge and jury for the rules that constitute gameplay."
