The incident took place in the pool area at the Four Seasons Hotel, which is part of the golf course property, McLellan said.

"There was a kid -- I'll call him a kid, he was 18 -- at the pool area," McLellan told ESPN on Sunday. "The kid had been asking [Manziel] for a couple hours for his autograph, and he wouldn't give it to him.

"That turned into badgering on the kid's part, and it reached the point where Johnny Manziel threw a bottle of water at the kid. I don't know if it hit him. I guess I would say that ramped it up a bit."

It better have hit him, just another incompletion if he missed.

Stalking at its finest. The guy said no, go stalk another "celebrity". People get offended because their heroes wont't dance on a string for them. The fan decided not to press charges. How about Manziel didn't file for a TRO?

"Poor lil' fella. Trouble just seems to find him. It's just not fair."

"Was it picked? Seriously, this kid needs to fly under the radar and get his expletive in one bag."

"maybe still struggling with deciding when to throw...VS...when to run...???"

Sorry but you don't hear any stories about other QB's in the league having these issues like this. Like one of the Browns forums posters said above... Trouble always seems to find him... Obviously Manziel could have walked away from the situation or had his security staff deal with it... It also may not have been a water bottle... So we will see.

Sorry Johnny, to get the Cowboy's attention, you need to commit a felony, throwing waters bottles is like J-walking.

But did he sign the water bottle before he threw it??

Getting a restraining order would have submitted to the autograph argument. Said requestor would have won.

He missed the kid with the water bottle and the kid gave him more grief because he missed. He told Johnny to enjoy never starting in the NFL and that he sucked and that Tennehill is a MUCH BETTER QB. The kid was also wearing a Texas a&m polo. Basically, the kid told the truth. I'm sure that whatever would have been signed would be worth less than the story he has to tell.

A friend of Manziel told ESPN.com that the incident was sparked when the fan yelled “Good luck never starting in the NFL.” The friend also said the throw was more like a football spike. According to the ESPN report, the 32-ounce water bottle was about three-qurters full, and missed the fan. One witness told police that the bottle hit a brick wall. Naturally, the fan made fun of the throw with a “Good throw, Johnny,” comment, Manziel’s friend told ESPN.com. Police and security eventually intervened and broke things up. No charges were filed and Manziel and his crew left, which ended the situation, McLellan told ESPN.com.

The "kid" was being a jerk. But when coming up with a signature hand gesture and hanging with famous people and drinking is one's priority, one attracts said jerks. Even if Manziel's rehab was legit and he begins taking his job seriously, he has a self-created mountain of crap to overcome. That's difficult enough but he's doing it in the public eye, which seems much more tricky.
