Yup, i don't see a penalty and lost workout for them, but if the Hawks did it, we are cheating cause we are practicing too hard

It upsets me that you have made it impossible to not defend an opposing fan, but neither of those instances had anything to do with fighting in training camp. Both were directly caused by what the CBA views as excessive hitting during OTA's.

IIRC the Hawks also only lost workout days b/c it was the second time they got popped for it under Carroll.

And yeah, I remember the NFL announced the violation around the same time as that camp scuffle, but you don't get violations for players getting in shoving matches or fighting.

In any case though, stuff like this happens during camp on every team. I don't think it's that big of a deal at all, although I do think it can become a problem when it goes generally unchecked (or borders on being encouraged) by the coaching staff (as was the case w/ the 9ers under Mike Nolan).

I remember when this happened last year with a few guys at Hawks training camp and everyone was calling them a bunch of thugs.

I remember people saying it was kinda tacky when it happened in the last few seconds after the super bowl was effectively over (When Irvin got ejected) but over training camp scuffles?
