That's what I just heard on Brock & Salk. Wow. Talk about a guy intent on ruining his life....

Looks like DUI, hit and run, and vandalism are the charges...

Updated title.

This dude's career is done or at the very least, he's going to be on vacation for a long time.

NFL Career - finished.
Will never understand why multi-millionaires don't hire private drivers, especially when you have been busted for DUI before.

Watching the 49ers crumble is no longer schadenfreude, it's just sad.

What a frigging idiot.

You can't fix stupid.

I don't think his career is finished though. My guess is it's probably done in SF, but some team will end up picking him up and giving him a chance.

Turns his career around with Hawks.

If he's convicted of DUI (again) and Hit and Run, no one will be picking him up except his new cell mate.

I hope not, for his sake. He tried to turn himself around while staying in the NFL and failed miserably. He needs to get out of the spotlight, surround himself with people who will hold him accountable, and concentrate on getting his life on track, not football. If he manages to stay in the NFL and relapses again he's going to get somebody killed, maybe himself.

I'm honesty a bit crushed about it...not just because it's a huge loss to the team. It appeared he was getting his life in order. It looked like he'd just gotten everything behind him and he was putting all that BS behind him.

Now this? Man. Dunno what to say. If he hadn't learned the lesson by now....

Oh dear, he's in trouble now.

(Got to be honest, wouldn't mind him playing alongside Bennett & Avril...)

EDIT: That sounds really mercenary, doesn't it? Ah well...

Marvin so quick to throw Aldon under the bus. What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Don't you want the team and fans to stand by him, until it is definitely proven in court that Aldon actually dis what he is accused of?

Nice little double standard you have going there.

I understand giving him the benefit of the doubt the first time, second time maybe, but this is the third DUI and he's also got that bomb threat thing...no one is goona defend him now.

Crazy to think that 49er fans were calling for the release of Ahmad Brooks when he got arrested as well.

I like how you first look forward to me defending him and then when I don't say I'm throwing him under the bus.

I hope to god Aldon isn't guilty of what he's accused of and I want to read the facts, but if he was booked for DUI, VERY, VERY likely he was tested for alcohol. If he was drinking, then he's not smart. If he was drinking and behind the wheel, he's a total moron. If he was drinking, behind the wheel, and then thought he could get away and escape consequences, there aren't words for that level of stupidity.
