Not that I think he'll keep it up necessarily, but Mariota's current 109 passer rating would shatter the all time rookie record. Which is all the more impressive given the crappy team he plays on. Naturally, PFF has him down for a negative grade so far this season.

Amari Cooper has a negative grade as well. While Philip Dorsett has a positive grade.

Most of the rest are probably fair. But PFF is always good for about 1 in 5 scores being head-scratchers.

Nice to see that Shaq Thompson has looked good in these first three games. Still a long way to go . . . Mariota had a perfect QB rating in that first game against TB, only to see it slip in the two subsequent losses. Just like with Derek Carr last year, you have to expect similar waning performances by a rookie QB.

Keep in mind Shaq had virtually no offseason with the hamstring injury and school obligations at UW. He was also learning a new full time position. An phenomenal football player.

Glad you like him out there. I enjoyed watching him at the UW. He also did really well at running back when called upon.

Thank you. Yes I have watched the RB highlights many times and no doubt he could play that position as well. So far he appears to be full throttle on every play. He seems to be a high character off-field guy as well.
