$17 million career earnings. Walks away with his health intact. Don't get me wrong he is better than 99.99% of all wanna be qb's out there but in a way he lucked out more than some guys better than him that found out they couldn't start and hen didn't get a second chance.

To be fair, a lot of a backup QB's job is to hold the clipboard and be a "study buddy" for the first string guy. It's not like the entire job of a football player happens on Sundays. For all we know, Charlie might have been excellent at film study even though he lacked a little something on the field. Saying he got paid for "nothing" is a bit unfair.

This guys career is amazing. How many guys have played the QB position in the NFL and done less for as many years? Hell, Rick Mirer did more in his NFL career.

All I know is that his performance against the Cleveland Browns was one of the greatest in NFL history.
