Interesting. I remember a bunch of people on draft day were mad that Seattle took Bruce over this guy.

Was miscast in a 3-4.

Dissimilar player to Irvin as well. Always thought Coples was best suited to be a 5-tech in a 4-3 that moved inside on passing downs, in Seattle that would put him behind both Bennett and Clark.

I saw him in the color rush game and he looked over weight.

He was a force in his sophomore year at UNC but his last year he fell off and people said he was not playing hard because he was worried about injury.

He had the talent, it's the want to that's missing.

Coples is a joke. Lots of negatives that were overlooked because he kicked ass at the Senior Bowl. He is as bad a first round pick as Curry.

I always thought he was too large a player to function well in a 3-4. But yeah, he was all tools, no tape in college. A lot like Curry in that sense.
