Wtf I knew they were good but wow. 2013 Hawks: -25.8. 2015 Broncos: -25.8.

I guess the way they handled Brady makes this somewhat believeable, but still this is shocking. Interestingly, both defenses have allowed 4.4 yards per play, which puts Denver's defense in historical category, but no one seems to be talking about it. Probably has to do with how many points they allowed, but given how below average their offense is, it might have had something to do with it.

I don't know if these guys are really that great, but they sure are better than I first thought.

All Manning has to do is be a game manager and not turn the ball over and they have a shot.

It was discussed about mid-way through the season. They were on pace to be better weren't they?

Funny thing is the Panthers Defense in the regular season this year had the Same turnover margin we did in 2013 and had the same number of turnovers I believe.

Denver this year I thought had some injuries during the middle of the season but I could be wrong. I know in the earlier part of this season they were dominant with the pash rush. Funny thing is Bridgewater did as well if not better than most QBs denver faced

I think their pash rush is better than our 2013 team but our secondary was a little better I think.

Their 3 man rush was incredible against New England. I had a man crush on Wade Phillips before...but his scheming this game makes him seem mythical to me.

Not so fast. Elway actually had the best passer rating and highest TD% of his career and in 1998. He actually played very well that year. Yes he was a game manager, but he was a good one.

Virtually every quarterback that has won the super bowl, managed the game. Point being, most that win (even the elites), do it with a solid defense and / or running game.

The list of quarterbacks who have 35+ attempts in the SB and won, is not a big one and for good reason.

Indeed...some examples of....SB winning play

Trent Dilfer - QB (2000 - BAL) 12/25 153 yards 1TD 0INT 80.9 rating
Tom Brady - QB (2001 - NE) 16/27 145 yards 1TD 0INT 86.2 rating
Brad Johnson - QB (2002 - TB) 18/34 215 yards 2TD 1INT 79.9 rating
Ben Roethlisberger - QB (2005 - PIT) 9/21 123 yards 0TD 2INT 22.6 rating

Brady ACTUALLY GOT MVP with that statline above..are you shitting me!!! The score was 20-17 and his defense got a pick six in the second quarter (sound familiar) and his only TD was because the defense also got a fumble on the next drive putting them at the Rams 40 yard line. The first FG also was from a Warner INT that started on the Ram 33. His defense had 3 turnovers in that game. Before that drive Brady had 93 or so yards on 19 throws......CMON MAN..MVP? MVP? SURE......... Brady being MVP in his first superbowl was a complete joke

And people want to say Wilson was super carried..carried hard...just along for the ride...lol...he was a hell of a lot better than those QBs above thats for sure.

Russell Wilson - QB (2013 - SEA) 18/25 206yards 2TD 0INT 123.1 rating

Funny thing is that's kind of what New England did last year, bringing in Browner and Revis.
