Was released by Detroit today. Anyone think he would make a possible backup to Thomas Rawls?

He's a good option as a 3rd down back to replace Jackson. And because he was released by Detroit he won't count against the compensatory pick equation.

He would be an improvement over Jackson for sure. I hope we kick the tires with this one. The only question is durability.

Slow, bad, and old. I'm surprised Detroit kept him as long as they did.

If he gets another gig in the NFL, it will probably be as a short yardage specialist. Seattle could use one of those, but they have generally avoided specializing the RB corps in the past. Pete wants every RB on the roster to have the skills to be a 3 down back.
