Saints to release Colston

Saints will be releasing Marques Colston. One of the better draft steals in the NFL in my opinion, not a bad career for a 7th rounder.

Going to be really weird seeing the Saints offense without Graham AND Colston now.

He's slowed down a lot the past couple years. Last year Brees barely even looked at him in an offense that was pretty limited in playmakers. He may have another year left in him, but he is nothing more than a chain mover at this point in his career.

It's official.

NEW ORLEANS -- The New Orleans Saints officially released their all-time-leading receiver and touchdown-scorer, Marques Colston, on Monday.

The move has been anticipated since last week and will save the Saints $3.2 million against the salary cap. Colston, 32, was released with a failed physical designation, which may be tied to the chest injury that sidelined him for the final two games last season.
