Looks like a trade is imminent.

Denver and 9ers dealings are heating up, and two other teams are also in play.

Could be done by the end of the day.

9ers reportedly asking for a 2nd rounder.

This is the thread in which Hawks fans can safely switch positions by:

1) Doing a 180 and saying the 9ers are dumb for trading Kap.

2) Doing a 180 and rooting for Kap to do well on the Broncos (which fwiw I think he will) because it will make the 9ers trading him look bad.

This is just a placeholder for now though. No need to get all Mevlevi yet, but get your dervish skirts ready. :th2thumbs:

I'll go on record and say that I think they'll end up regretting the trade. I think he'll be a good QB again and trading him will be a mistake.

I don't see why Kap going to the Broncos is going to make him any different of a player than he already is. The only advantage or change for him would be if Kubiak uses Harbaugh's approach and simplifies the offense for him and utilizes his strengths (which are basically an easy read and then run if that's not open). He was pretty good at that for a few years, granted it's a limited ceiling construct.

Getting a 2nd for a guy who doesn't want to play for you is nothing but good business...

Enjoy wasting that draft pick on a bust!

I for one, am quite impressed by how much not caring this thread has produced in just its first 15 minutes of existence!

At this rate we'll literally have pages of not caring by lunch time.

Go team, go!

What a bunch of idiots! Just kidding. I thought Colin would have a revival under Kellly

I think a revival under the Broncos is more likely. Kaepernick flaws and strengths IMO make him atypically useless on an otherwise bad team, and atypically useful on an otherwise good team.

Also worth considering is that at his worst Kaepernick has never been as bad and as limiting as Manning was last year.

As still a relatively stacked team, I also think an end of the 2nd round pick and what in the last 48 hours has become a VERY team friendly contract (would you rather give Kap 12 million or Bradford 16 million?) is a great move for the Broncos, at least for right now, given their situation.

If he goes to the Broncos I'll be absolutely rooting for him, but at the same time won't miss him on the 9ers.

Would like to remind everyone I said Kap sucks before it was cool. I think I likened his 2012 to Don Majikowski's good year. People on this board even altered history by stating Pete liked him that draft. It was gross.

That said, it's a good move for both parties.

Yay! You got some validation!

Peaches, my love, you've spent your entire morning "not caring" about the 9ers in a thread about the Raiders work in free agency so far.

You're like the Shenzhen of producing unasked for validation.
