Was just messing around with passing statistics and doing some research when I came across this article from March of 2013 on the Cowboys website. Curious what you guys think of it. I'd never seen this one and it reads like something you'd have seen after the 2013 season, not before it.

I subscribe to a theory proposed by Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly that quarterbacks don’t thrive because they’re tall, but rather because they have big hands. Passers need to be able to control the football at all times. They need to hold onto it in a crowded pocket, pump fake, control it on play-action and direct it with ease as they throw – and big hands allow for all of those things.
If true, the big-hand theory would be why it appears quarterbacks succeed because of their height; height is obviously strongly correlated with hand size.

Essentially a Cowboys writer trying to quantify QB draft value based on hand size and height. Nothing ground breaking but back then? I doubt it got much attention (only 16 comments).

Then there was Ken Arthur's somewhat exhausting article about QB height in May of 2012.

It still amazes me how Wilson crept up on us (well, most of us). I still remember sitting at my table playing poker with friends and talking about "that little guy from Wisconsin" after the preseason game against KC.
